S1 E30 | Celebrating Navneeth’s Birthday on MG Road, Gangtok

We began our day exploring MG Road, the city’s most happening street, lined with vibrant shops, lively pubs, and cozy cafes. Even the quieter streets were lush with greenery, making every walk a visual treat. The city effortlessly blends urban charm with natural beauty.

Our first stop was a local favorite, a restaurant recommended by the locals. The flavors were authentic and unique — mildly spiced, with a perfect balance that kept our taste buds excited. We even tried some kimchi, which added an unexpected Korean twist to our Gangtok culinary adventure.

Next up, the Gangtok Ropeway! Riding above the city, the views were breathtaking. The hills, valleys, and clouds created a scenic panorama that felt almost surreal. It was pure joy and a little adrenaline rolled into one — a perfect birthday experience.

Birthday celebrations continued with tiny but delightful cakes — strawberry-chocolate and blueberry-chocolate — which made the day feel intimate and special. We also played the local lottery, adding a fun twist to the birthday. With a ticket that coincidentally had my birth date, it felt like luck was on her side!

To end the day, we had a casual Pizza Hut treat, enjoying the view of clouds gathering over the mountains — the perfect wrap-up to a day full of laughter, joy, and small celebrations – a place Shish and I typically go to on some special days!
